Sunset over the fields around La Torre dei Canonici at Lumellogno, on the way back from the Milan September fairs

September 2026 fairs After MICAM and Lineapelle,
the rice fields at sunset

Where to stay for MICAM (13-15 September 2026), Lineapelle (15-17) and Milan Fashion Week Women (22-28): La Torre dei Canonici welcomes you about 35 minutes from Rho Fiera, from €205 a night. Breakfast and VAT are always included; for the September fairs, so is a space in our internal car park. We are a Charming Residence among the rice fields of Lumellogno, a few kilometres from Novara: in the evening the pavilions feel far away; one motorway exit brings them back in the morning.

Anyone coming to Milan for a trade fair is usually after two things: a short drive and a quiet evening. The two September weeks are here; the calendar of the major fairs across the whole year, with the questions professionals ask us most often, lives in our guide to where to stay for the Milan trade fairs.

The dates

MICAM, Lineapelle and Fashion Week: two weeks, one calendar

The first window runs from 13 to 17 September, entirely at Fiera Milano Rho: MICAM Milano from the 13th to the 15th, MIPEL on the same days, then Lineapelle and SIMAC Tanning Tech from the 15th to the 17th. Anyone working across footwear and leather often straddles both halves of the week.

The second window is Milan Fashion Week Women SS27, from 22 to 28 September: shows across the city, White Milano from the 24th to the 27th. A different rhythm, longer evenings, and the same question of accommodation: somewhere about forty-five minutes from the city, where the telephone stops ringing.

The evening

Where to stay for MICAM and Lineapelle: the drive back, against the flow

At the end of the day the pavilions empty quickly: lights dim, sample cases close, and everyone takes to the road at the same moment. That is when direction matters. Those sleeping in the city head back into Milan traffic; you join the A4 at the dedicated Rho Fiera junction, against the flow, and in about thirty-five minutes, without a single city street, you reach the courtyard of the Residence as the sunset lights the fields around the Torre.

In fair weeks, rates around Rho rise sharply. We have taken a different approach: a dedicated rate for fair periods, communicated in advance.

The rates

What a Room costs during the September 2026 fairs

The September rates cover both windows, 13th to 17th and 22nd to 28th, and stay the same from the first day of the fair to the last:

  • Standard Room, from €205 a night for one guest, from €235 for two.
  • Superior Room, from €235 a night for one guest, from €272 for two; sleeps up to three with an extra bed.
  • Suite, from €290 a night for one guest, from €335 for two; up to four with additional beds.

Breakfast and VAT are always included; only the city tax, €2 per person per night, is settled on site. For the September fairs, a space in our internal car park with video surveillance is also included in the rate, with no vehicle size limits for those travelling with sample cases. And on request we issue an invoice to your company. The rate we quote is the rate you find on arrival: for your own dates, simply write to our reception.

Fair rates updated in July 2026.

At the Residence

The evening at the Residence, and breakfast before the doors open

A day at the fair does not end when the pavilions close: it ends when you stop thinking about it. At the Torre, the evening has its rituals. A light supper, if you mention it when booking: the Residence has no in-house restaurant, but our reception will arrange one for guests returning late, and partner restaurants are minutes away.

Or an hour in our wellness area, with its sauna, Turkish bath, experience showers and Jacuzzi: open from 8 am to 9 pm, by reservation with at least one day’s notice, while guests staying with us can book it on arrival. Access is €35 per person for half a day, €70 for a full day. Or simply the high-speed wi-fi in your Room, made for video calls; then the silence of the rice fields.

The buffet breakfast awaits you from 7:30 am to 10 am, on the ground floor of the Torre or in the garden in fine weather; during fair weeks it can be brought forward on request, to be agreed with us. Departure is by noon; if you leave later in the day you can ask to stay until 3 pm, depending on the Room’s availability: we cannot promise it in advance, so it is agreed with our reception. And on the day you arrive, if the morning train brings you here before your Room is ready, we will keep your bags: luggage storage is free from 8 am, and the Room is yours from 3 pm.

Thirty-five minutes in the right direction, and the day at the fair ends where the countryside begins.
Travelling as a group

For teams and companies at the September fairs

The upper floor of the Mill, a single table and the whiteboard lit: the last meeting of the day, once the pavilions have closed.

When you arrive as a group, the Residence is already prepared for it: the agent with the sample cases, the buying office, the fashion house travelling for the season. The eleven Rooms of the Residence are named after flowers and no two are alike: two Standard for one or two guests, seven Superior sleeping up to three with an extra bed, two Suites for up to four with additional beds.

For multiple Rooms over consecutive nights we apply a 10 per cent discount, and from six Rooms upwards you can have one of the buildings of the Residence to yourselves. The invoice can be made out to your company: tell us how many Rooms you need and for which dates, and we will prepare a quote for the group.

And when the trip calls for a debrief among colleagues, the rooms of the Antico Mulino, where grain was once milled, can be reserved on request, at a dedicated rate, and host up to forty people theatre-style and twelve in the board room. The technical side looks after itself: an LG interactive touch whiteboard, projector, sound system and high-speed wi-fi are already in place. What is left is the time to talk, with the quiet of the countryside around you. For the full picture, see our page on business solutions and meeting rooms.

The logistics

Getting to Rho Fiera, and back

The car remains the simplest way: about 35 minutes to Rho Fiera, almost all of it motorway, and 40 even on peak mornings, when anyone sleeping in central Milan often has to allow more than an hour.

But the car is not the only way. Novara railway station is a ten-minute drive from the Residence, and the regional train reaches Rho Fiera in about 25 minutes; for the evenings of Fashion Week, Milan is three quarters of an hour by car along the A4, Novara Est exit. From Malpensa, allow forty minutes or so: on request we arrange a shuttle or chauffeured car to and from the airport and the station, through a trusted partner, for a fee. Tell us your flight or train number and your arrival time, and we will be expecting you. And anyone taking an extra day will find the countryside around the Residence, beyond the rice fields.

For your rate

Write to our reception

Tell us your fair dates and how many of you are travelling: we will reply with the exact rate, usually the same day and with no obligation. It will be a pleasure to welcome you to the Torre.
