An extraordinary region
Eastern Piedmont is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets. Within easy reach of our residence you will find two of the country’s most beautiful lakes, a historic city with a remarkable skyline, medieval abbeys hidden in the countryside, and some of the finest food and wine traditions in northern Italy. Whether you spend your days visiting monuments, exploring nature reserves, or simply cycling through the rice fields, there is always something worth discovering.
Art & Culture
Novara is just 5 minutes away and well worth exploring. Its skyline is dominated by the Basilica of San Gaudenzio, topped by the soaring dome designed by Alessandro Antonelli — the same architect behind Turin’s famous Mole. The city centre hides the Duomo with its early-Christian baptistery, the Broletto, an atmospheric medieval courtyard, and elegant Renaissance palaces. A short drive takes you to San Nazzaro Sesia Abbey, a beautifully preserved Cistercian complex, and to the hilltop Castle of Ghemme, set among vineyards.

Lakes & Nature

Lake Maggiore, home to the legendary Borromean Islands and the elegant town of Stresa, is about 40 minutes by car. Closer to home, the Ticino Park offers riverside walks through ancient woodlands, while the morainic hills to the north are covered in vineyards and dotted with small villages.

By Bicycle
We provide our guests with free bicycles to explore the surrounding countryside at their own pace. The terrain is completely flat, with dedicated cycling paths winding through rice paddies and quiet rural villages — ideal for a morning ride or a sunset excursion. It is one of the most relaxing ways to experience the Piedmont plains, and you can always return to the estate for an aperitivo in the cellar or a soak in the Jacuzzi.
